‘The Toastmasters educational program consists of two-tracks-a communication track and a leadership track. Members are encouraged to participate in both tracks. You can work on both tracks simultaneously. Both provide recognition for specific accomplishments. ‘
Members learn communication skills by completing a Competent Communication Manual, a series of 10 self-paced speaking assignments designed to instill a basic foundation in public speaking. Once a member completes their Competent Communication Manual they have access to 16 advanced manuals that cover a variety of topics and specialties. These manuals will guide them as they achieve advanced designations.
The Competent Leader Manual provides members with an opportunity to build their leadership skills by serving in various Toastmaster meeting roles. There are ten projects covering the following topics: listening, critical thinking, giving feedback, time management, planing and implementation, organization and delegation, facilitation, motivation, mentoring, and team building.
